UScellular Provides Gift of Connection to Nonprofits During Holiday Season

by | Dec 19, 2024

This holiday season, Lukas Partners PR client UScellular gave back to the community with 50 gifts to nonprofits across the country. The company helped organizations with needed supplies in gratitude for their dedication to building connection through art, music and sports in their local communities.

Lukas Partners assisted with 11 Gift of Connection donations in Iowa and Nebraska from Dec. 4-18. Here are a couple highlights:

— Iowa women’s basketball forward Hannah Stuelke joined UScellular for a $5,000 donation to the Boys & Girls Clubs of the Corridor in Cedar Rapids Dec. 18. The donation featured a wide range of electronic and entertainment items designed to foster creativity, self-expression and meaningful connections beyond the digital world.

— UScellular spread festive cheer in West Des Moines Dec. 15 with a free drone light show that featured an evening of lights, magic and community spirit. The 15-minute show included artwork inspired by Tallgrass Theatre Company’s Seedlings Children’s Theatre. The display showcased the imagination of local youth, which brought their original drawings to life in the night sky. UScellular also donated $5,000 worth of clothing, costumes, electronics, outdoor and sports equipment and technology to support Tallgrass Theatre Company’s Seedlings Children’s Theatre.

UScellular also invited community members to participate in the Gift of Connection through a donation drive at select UScellular retail locations. Everyone was encouraged to donate new sports equipment, art supplies or family board games that will be gifted to a local nonprofit.
