KRISTEN CRAWFORD

Account Director

Kristen Crawford brings excellent communication strategy skills and project leadership to a variety of our clients across corporate business, nonprofit and education sectors to enhance brand recognition and reputation. She is an impactful writer with news, social and digital media expertise.

Prior to Lukas Partners, Kristen worked in television news for nine years. She quickly became a leader in the newsroom and was tasked with rebuilding a news department from the ground up when she was promoted to news manager. She was part of an executive team that facilitated news coverage and created partnerships in the community. She honed her skills in building news strategies, analyzing media research, writing, storytelling, video editing and planning special event coverage.

Kristen brings her television news experience to Lukas Partners’ clients by connecting them successfully with their target audiences. She understands storytelling and how social and digital media are playing a critical role to help organizations engage with people and communicate their brand. A skilled, deadline-driven multi-tasker, Kristen manages multiple client accounts and creates unique strategies for each client to help them achieve their goals. She also provides effective news media interview coaching and crisis communication strategies.

Kristen earned a B.S. degree in Mass Communications from the University of South Dakota. While attending college, she produced and wrote for the school’s student-produced newscast.

Kristen’s achievements include: several PRSA Nebraska Paper Anvil Awards and American Marketing Association Omaha Pinnacle Awards on behalf of Lukas Partners’ clients; a 2013 Nebraska Broadcasters Association 3rd place Award for Best Newscast; 2007 South Dakota Addy Award for Best Television Commercial; 2004 State of Iowa Scholar; and 2004 Excellence in Journalism Award from the Omaha World-Herald.
