Winterland at Heartwood Preserve, a valued Lukas Partners PR client, has a brand-new outdoor ice-skating attraction that will bring holiday joy to Omaha. Open daily from Nov. 29 to Jan. 5, the beautifully decorated rink offers free skating fun for all to enjoy.
Nestled just south of 144th Street and West Dodge Road at Heartwood Park, the rink invites visitors to enjoy free 90-minute skate sessions, complete with free skate rentals, provided by Applied Underwriters.
Guests are encouraged to make reservations online, though a limited number of walk-up skaters also will be accommodated.
Skaters can warm up with seasonal drinks and treats available daily from the Travelin’ Toms Coffee Truck. Winterland at Heartwood Preserve will provide a fun and festive atmosphere for families that features free community activities. Skaters can groove to holiday and party hits during Live DJ Fridays from 7–10 p.m., while Sundays with Santa offer photo opportunities, arts and crafts and story time. Don’t miss the Noon Year’s Eve Skate Party on Dec. 31, complete with a family-friendly countdown to ring in the new year!

Winterland at Heartwood Preserve seeks talented performers to shine on the Winterland Community Stage during Community Stage Saturdays. High school show choirs, drama clubs, bands and other community groups are encouraged to apply with an email to winterlandcommunitystage@gmail.com.
Embracing the holiday spirit, Winterland at Heartwood Preserve invites nonprofit organizations and community groups to enjoy a complimentary private 90-minute skate session during Giving Tuesdays on Dec. 3, 10 and 17. These sessions are perfect for holiday parties, volunteer appreciation events and fundraisers.
