A great family event for Mother’s Day weekend, the 2022 International Omaha Presented by Burlington Capital returns at the CHI Health Center Omaha. The four-day event begins Thursday, May 5.
Produced by our client the Omaha Equestrian Foundation, the competition will feature everything under one roof – stabling, warm-up, competition arena, educational and exhibit area, demonstrations, dining venues and shopping expo. The event gives riders, visitors and volunteers from nearly 40 states and multiple countries a chance to see and meet some of the world’s finest equestrian athletes, who will compete for more than $250,000 in prize money.
This world-class equestrian competition will feature vaulting for the first time in Omaha, in addition to speed jumping and a Grand Prix Jumping Challenge. Packed with emotion, creativity and athleticism, vaulting is the FEI’s fastest-growing discipline. Intertwining the acrobatics of gymnastics with showmanship comparable to Cirque du Soleil, vaulters express themselves through choreography, costume and music.
Other highlights include the Developing Rider Invitational Jumping event on Saturday, which features locally based junior and amateur riders in the natural evolution of the annual tradition formerly known as Local Day. The free Demonstration Arena also will feature demonstrations from a wide variety of disciplines and a clinic with Olympic gold medalist and Jumping World Cup Finals winner Melanie Smith Taylor.
The Omaha Equestrian Foundation also will host the FEI World Cup Finals 2023 at the CHI Health Center Omaha April 4-8.
Single session tickets start at just $10. All-session tickets are $45 through Ticketmaster. You can learn more about the 2022 International Omaha Presented by Burlington Capital at https://bit.ly/2022-International-Omaha.
